Bali Basuki Retreat Centre
Besakih Village is a very special place for many people from all over the world, who come here for ceremonies, prayers, the blessing, connection to the special energy of the Besakih Temple Complex.
With the blessing of God, we are building a new Bali Basuki Retreat Centre to enable visitors to stay in the special environment of Besakih village longer than a few hours.
It will be a place overlooking a breathtaking view of Mother Temple and Pura Gelap, where people would be able to practice meditation, healing, energy practices, yoga, etc.
Visitors will be enjoying the blessed energy of the place, visiting Temple for prayers and blessing, purification with the holy water, while having space for rest, meditation and other spiritual practices for several hours and days without rush.

History of Besakih Temple
According to the Balinese Chronicle, the history of the establishment of Besakih Temple began when RSI Markandeya, a Hindu religious leader of Indian descent, wandered to the island of Bali following a magical sound he received while meditating in the Dieng Plateau. The voice told him to clear the forest on Dawa Island (Bali Island) to share with his followers.

RSI Makandya considered to be a brame of the first temple called Pura Basukian.

Besakih Temple is a mandatory destination for anyone visiting the Island of the Gods.
The largest temple in Bali and in Indonesia is indeed famous for its beautiful architecture and beautiful natural scenery where tourists can gaze at the green surroundings and Mount Agung far away.

The Besakih Temple area is the largest temple complex in Bali, also known as the Mother Temple, this is where the activities of various Hindu religious ceremonies take place. Its existence is very popular among tourists and occupies a row of tourist attractions in Bali that must be visited. Visiting the Besakih temple, every tourist must use a guide or guide, in addition to avoiding the wrong direction so that visitors can enjoy the beauty of the temple more optimally, they are also more familiar with the history of the establishment of the Besakih temple.
We are building a new Bali Basuki Retreat Centre to enable visitors to stay in the special environment of Besakih longer than a few hours.

About the dream
The name has a special meaning
The Bali Basuki Retreat Centre takes its name from the God Naga Basuki. The God Naga Basuki is a manifistation of the Main God in Bali called Sanyang Vediwasa. Naga Basuki represents safety and protection for Bali and beyond.
For the safety of all the living beings in the world Mangku Jati decided to name the Retreat Centre: Bali Basuki.

The idea came from many people coming to the Besakih Village and asking for a place to stay for 1-2 days, a week or a month, with the aim to visit Temple, to practice meditation, or simply take a break from the rush of life.

Believing in the balance of the Universe and people's generous hearts Mangku Jati decided to build a Retreat Centre of his dream relying fully on pure love, donation money and God's blessing.
About Mangku Jati
Makgku Jati was born in December 1975 in one of the oldest family in Besakih village, married in 1992.
In 1996 his ancestors came to him while meditating and called him to become a Mangku and help people. This was the beginning of a spiritual journey.

At the end of 1996 he started the process to become first a junior Mangku and already in 1998 became a family temple Mangku with initiation ceremony in the temple.

First energy healing practice and learning on using the energy to help people started in 1996 with the visitors coming from the Netherlands. At this time Mangku Jati still was not really willing for people to know about his spiritual capabilities.

Mouth to mouth information started to spread and already by 2007 the geography of people coming for help extended to the Russian speaking countries.

The average number of people coming to see Mk Jati reaching: 30-100 persons per day in 2020.

Social Responsibility

Why the Bali Basuki Retreat Centre will carry also social touch?
Mangku Jati considers it very important for the balance of the universe to have a social responsibility, like charity activities, such as a musical instrument donation for the Family Temple, Promoting non -plastic and clean environment, etc.
In the COVID times Mk Jati called out to community to donate money to support people in need, thus making it possible to make food packages (rice, milk, egg, coffee, sugar, nuddle, soap) and distributing 30 packages in April 2020, 70 more packages later in Spring and 100 packages in August 2020.
How Bali Basuki Retreat Center will look like?
It will be a place overlooking a breathtaking view of Mother Temple and Pura Gelap, where people would be able to practice meditation, healing, energy practices, yoga, etc.
